When I drew the energy of “Play” my guides challenged me to embody this energy by choosing a mentality of joy, no matter how my external surroundings appeared. I was challenged to choose hope in the face of uncertainty about the future, faith in the face of self doubt and perseverance in what I recognize as my soul’s joyful nature, rather than falling into the world's chaos. To play is to let go of mental constraints such as fear, worry and anxiety and instead allow ourselves to engage in activities that promote happiness, rather than what we perceive as productivity.

To play is to embrace the essence of the inner child. No matter who we are and what our background looks like, every individual has the essence of the inner child within. The inner child essence craves laughter, unconditional love, freedom to explore and very importantly the room to play. When the inner child is granted the room to explore its natural desires we begin to unlock many internal pathways towards creative expression and a life authentically lived. This is because while we are in the essence of the child we see things through lenses of innocence. We relax into approval of ourselves and our endeavors. Suddenly the issues we felt defined us are easier to overcome. It is from this place of innocence that our horizons are able to expand. I felt the truth of this resonate deeply this week when I slipped into play energy by spending hours at the aquarium with my lover. My imagination completely took hold as I encountered the different creatures of the deep. I found myself so mystified by the creativity of nature that my human worries seemed very insignificant. I found myself able to look at the world beyond my own and remember the depth of nature’s divine expression.

I left the aquarium feeling inspired creatively & spiritually, I know deeply it is because I allowed the innocence of my inner child to lead me on an excursion into another world. In many ways play can be the most productive option available to us because the freedom of joyful movement leads directly to inspiration. Often we can try to hammer ourselves with work, craving inspiration only to have it evade us. Play is the gateway that offers pleasure and discovery along the way.

The emotional realms of most individuals have the oceanic capacity to either drown us or send us into waves of bliss. Emotions have the capacity to invigorate us body and soul as well as leaving us feeling depleted and without hope. It all hinders on which way we choose to either balance our emotions or allow them to rule us. Balancing of the emotions requires a give and take relationship with the realm of thought. Neither one of them can master the other if we wish to experience true harmony. When the heart is mastered by thought we become critical, anxious and paranoid. When the mind is mastered by the heart we can become so caught in our emotional currents it is hard to make reasoned decisions for ourselves and instead act only on impulse. when these two energies balance one another we become thoughtful, sensing and exploratory. We hone in on the ability of discernment which is the gatekeeper to what is opportunity vs a depletion of valued time.

There is no way to eradicate emotion, even an individual who categorizes themselves as cold and unfeeling most certainly has triggers and things that also force a smile upon their face. Embracing the truth that our emotions are a crucial part of soulful intelligence sets us up to live a life in harmony with our sensual nature rather than following a pre designated path. Emotions open us up to truly experiencing life as it is intended, to be full of depth, feel and discovery.

Tips for balancing emotions

•give a voice to your heart and let it tell you what it truly wants/ needs. I recommend writing this down.

•repeat the above step but this time give a voice to your mind

•meditate and envision swimming through an ocean of your own emotions. What rises to the surface? What sinks? What colors the water beautifully? What pollutes?

•spend a day listening only to your heart, spend a day listening only to your mind, compare which day flowed easier

•practice being the observer of your thoughts and notice how your thoughts impact the way you feel in your body.

When these two energies merged together for me this week it became clear that I was due for a deepening relationship with my understanding of what it means to have true perspective. Of course every individual has a unique perspective of the world around them but I understood this is not what where my focus was being directed from these oracle cards. The message I channeled from my Divine Guides is this “perspective is clarity in envisioning the course of action required for your success”

What I was being guided towards is that holding a perspective that is in line with my desired manifestations & vision for the future is how each needed step is created. If in moments of frustration my perspective shifts towards illusions of failure or misfortune then naturally it becomes much harder to manifest what it is I actually want. Suddenly there is a fog blotting out the path in front of me. The path is still there but much harder to navigate. Holding a perspective of inevitable success allows me to witness the confusing moments on my path from a space of objectivity, knowing every event occurs for a purpose.

Searching for the higher perspective in our uncertainties offers us glimmers of what strengths are being instilled in us through our challenges. What I mean by the “higher perspective” is the viewpoint of the godly energy coursing throughout the universe. Envisioning what the Divine must see when writing our destinies can offer us clues to each mystery in our lives. Claiming the higher perspective allows us to see through the eyes of the sacred what we are truly capable of. Today’s invitation is to look beyond the physical world and glimpse how it is the universe is making us mighty.
