The Phoenix is a universal emblem for rebirth, and a literal rise from the ashes of death. It’s also a metaphorical link to striving towards illumination even when the appearances of circumstances say no way. When the Phoenix card appears in our midst the time has come to destroy the ceiling of limitation for the sake of honoring our internal fire ready to burn freely. Whether your dreams are made up of cultivating more love in your world, more personal power or even making an impact on a global scale the Phoenix urges us to trust in the power of Death, letting go of all that binds or weighs us down, knowing without knowing that in doing so we will burst forth in an arc of flame towards the visions that we’ve been holding so near to our hearts. Manifesting requires usto make an offering of ourselves to the sacred. By offering stagnating energy in surrender to the Divine you are signaling you are ready to fill those spaces with energy that flows, honors and reciprocates loving power. In order to receive that which we truly desire we must be willing to release that which minimizes are power & saps us of our light. In doing so we may rise from the ashes of La-Petite-Mort and find ourselves rising into the flames of fulfillment

The energy of the Chameleon is all about adaptability.
When this card appears we are invited to strengthen our position in our world by learning to become responsive rather than reactive. To be reactive means to lead with impulsion and be led by the ego. To be responsive means to allow information to integrate with our being first before making any move & then we allow the wisdom of our highest self to take the reins. Being reactive rather than responsive can be detrimental to our personal relationships as well as professional environments. In this mind set it is easy to find oneself projecting upon others or to have ones triggers play a more dominant role than the details of the present moment. Being responsive allows a bridge of peace to be formed even in the most frustrating of circumstances. Often, situations are blown out of proportion due of the way each party chose to react rather than the subject matter itself. Being responsive is about acknowledging that even in situations where you feel you are in complete integrity you can’t see the complete picture and since we can’t get a view of what
picture the other party is seeing unless we offer them the space to show us, it is crucial to lay down our pride for the sake of understanding. Most often whether it be personal or business related people just want to be heard. By learning to be responsive we are granting every individual we encounter with the gift of truly hearing.
Of all the delusions human beings tend to fall under, being superior over the other life forms on planet Earth is the one that has run the most rampant and caused the most destruction on a global scale. When the Tree Spirt: Yakshi card appears in our midst it is with a reminder, that within in it carries the urgency of truth. That reminder is that we are no bigger and no smaller than any of the other life forms on this planet. We are invited to begin shifting the Earth’s balance back towards a peaceful existence by reintegrating our beings with the source of life, nature.
Trees in particular or as they were known by the Native people of North America, the “Standing People” are a sacred bridge between heaven and Earth. Just think of the way their roots descend deep into the Earth while as they grow they reach towards the skies. Each Tree carries within its core its own unique spirit just as we do as humans. It’s so important to understand that just because something may not be able to communicate on the levels that we do doesn’t mean it isn’t a living being with powerful sense of purpose on this Earth. We have reached a point in the Earth’s history where the human destruction is evolving more rapidly than the Earth can replenish her natural resources. It is up to us to bridge that gap by re connecting to our Earth Mother and infusing her with love. Don’t think that because you are one being you cannot have a lasting impact. Know that it only takes one being to start a movement that can sweep a community and even the world. Today, I invite you to take a break from your daily routine and spend some time in the company of nature. I invite you to spend time beneath an inviting tree and try to look beyond the limitations of what you have been told is possible. I invite you to look beyond the trunk and swaying leaves to discern the spirit within. You just may find something there that helps you understand why the trees, why the world and why humanity is worth fighting for.
